Dennis Trident & Alexander-Dennis Enviro 500

Welcome to the Dennis Trident & Alexander-Dennis Enviro 500 gallery. Victoria operates a total of 52 double decker buses. Victoria was also the first in North America to operate double deck buses in transit service. These two buses are very similar as in the latter essentially replaced the former. In 2000, Victoria took delivery of 10 Dennis Trident with Duple Metsec bodies (#9001-9010) and in 2002 took delivery of an additional 16 Dennis Tridents with Duple Metsec bodies (#9021-9036). Units #9027 and #9036 both did promotional demo tours for Dennis throughout parts of North America. In 2005, Victoria took delivery of 9 Alexander-Dennis Enviro 500 buses (#9041-9049). In 2008, 16 Alexander Dennis Evnrio 500 buses were delivered (#9501-9516) and 1 Alexander Dennis Enviro 500H (Hybrid #9527) was delivered. All of the doube deck buses are powered by Cummins ISM engines and Voith D864 transmissions. Kelowna Regional Transit, another division of BC Transit also operates 3 2002 Dennis Tridents and 10 2008 Alexander Dennis Enviro 500's.
