Strathcona County Transit Nova Bus LFS & LFS HEV

Welcome to the Strathcona County Transit Nova Bus LFS gallery. Strathcona County Transit operates 39 diesel Nova Bus LFS. The first 3 (#921-923) were delivered in the spring of 2005, these units have a standard urban style layout with two doors. The next 6 (#924-929) were delivered in the summer of 2006, these units have a suburban layout, without a rear door. The next 7 (#930-936) were delivered in the summer of 2007, featuring updated headlight styling and suburban single door layout. In 2008, 9 buses were delivered (#2001-2009), featuring a two door urban style layout and rear destination signs. In 2010 14 buses were delivered (#2010-2023) featuring the restyled rear end. All buses are powered by Cummins ISL engines with Allison B400R transmissions. The first 3 buses in the 2008 order were originally given the numbers #937-939. The suburban units feature non-enclosed overhead storage racks and high back seats in the lower portion of the bus. All buses are equipped with air conditioning.

Strathcona County Transit also operates 10 Nova Bus LFS HEV diesel-electric hybrid buses. The first four were delivered in the summer of 2008 and originaly given the numbers #940-943 before being renumbered #3001-3004. The later six were delivered in 2010 and numbered #3005-3010, these had the restyled rear end cap. The buses feature an urban style layout with 2 doors and a rear destination sign. The hybrids use the paralell Allison Ep 40 hybrid electric drive coupled to a Cummins ISL engine. These buses are also air conditioned.
