St. Albert Transit- Articulated

Welcome to the articulated bus of St. Albert Transit photo gallery. St. Albert Transit operates 18 articulated buses. These are split into 4 orders and are all New Flyer buses. The first order was in 1991 for 3 New Flyer D60's; these buses have Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines with Allison HTB 748 transmissions. The second order in 1995 was for 3 more New Flyer D60's (with wheelchair lifts) with Detroit Diesel Series 50 engines and Allison B500R5 transmissions. The third order was in 2001 for 5 New Flyer D60LF's powered by the Detroit Diesel Series 50 EGR engines and Allison B500R5 transmissions. The fourth order was in 2006 for 7 New Flyer D60LF powered by a CAT C9 and Allison B500R5. These buses operate both commuter/university routes from St. Albert to Edmonton and do some local St. Albert work as well.
