506 is the first of two Ex-AC Transit/Ex-St. Augustine buses, with AC Transit being the first owner. The bus was repainted into it's current paint shceme by St. Augustine. Red Deer Transit bought the bus in 2004 and has since installed a Pocatec LED destination sign in the bus. The bus is powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine with a Allison HTB748 transmission. 506 is seen resting inside the transit garage. |

509's interior looking twoards the rear. Notice that an extra bench seat has been added. This bus and 506 use to be have wheelchair lifts in them when they operated for AC Transit. So a large space is provided for the wheelchair positions. However, AC Transit removed the wheelchair lifts after the buses were retired from AC Transit. Thus the buses are no longer accesiable to wheelchairs. |

Retired unit 7148, lease unit 1331, unit 506 and unit 419 are all seen on the tarmac at the transit garage. 7148 was parked on the side like usual, 1331 and 506 had both been out for a quick photo shoot along 45th Ave. near the garage and 419 had just come out from the garage waiting for it's afternoon run. 506 was also preparing for it's afternoon run. |
