KC Metro New Flyer DE60LF Diesel-Electric Hybrid Bus Photos

Welcome to the KC Metro photo gallery for New Flyer DE60LF Diesel-Electric Hybrid Buses. In 2002, KC Metro took delivery of its first New Flyer DE60LF, #2599. An order for 213 of the same buses followed, these buses entered service in 2003-2004, #2600-2812. These buses are powered by Caterpillar C9 diesel engines coupled to the Allison EP50 Diesel-Electric Hybrid Drive.

In 2008, 22 New Flyer DE60LF buses were delivered, #6813-6834. The 2008 New Flyer DE60LF buses use the Cummins ISL diesel engine coupled to the Allison EP50 Diesel-Electric Hybrid Drive.

These diesel electric hybrid buses operate on various routes that utilize the downtown bus tunnel.
