Photos of the Week

The first photo features Calgary Transit #2032, a 1983 Siemens/Duwag/CT U2 model light rail transit vehicle. #2032 is seen leading a 3 car consist southbound from Banff Trail Station on the northwest leg of Calgary's C-Train system. 80 of the original 83 U2 model cars built from 1980-1984 are still in daily revenue service.

Kowloon Motor Bus (Hong Kong) unit S3V14, a 1995 Volvo Olympian with Alexander bodywork. S3V14 is seen in the Sha Tin district working Route 86K Kam Ying Court. This is 1 of 30 buses in this series and is the last set of non-air conditioned buses ever built for Kowloon Motor Bus, which operates the largest fleet of buses in Hong Kong, with over 4300 units. Over 85% of the fleet is air conditioned, with the remaining non-air conditioned buses dating back to the early and mid 1990's. Other non-air conditioned buses still in service include Leyland Olympians and Dennis Dragons.

A big thanks goes to Peter McLaughlin, Martin Parsons, Ken Baker, Ashton Wong, Steve Parkin and John Fuller for making various contributions to this site, particularly during its first couple years online.
