Hong Kong Neoplan Centroliners

Neoplan buses in Hong Kong are not as common as many other makes. The German Neoplan Centroliner is the only Neoplan Transit Bus in Hong Kong. The Neoplan N4206/3 "Centroliner was first introduced in 1998 when Kowloon Motor Bus took delivery of one. 79 and 30 more were delivered to Kowloon Motor Bus and New World First Bus respectively in 1999 and 2000. From 2000 to 2003 Kowloon Motor Bus took delivery of 83 more but the model was N4426/3, but really they were the same bus as previous. To date 203 Neoplan Centroliner's have been delivered to Hong Kong and future orders are not likely. Neoplan Centroliner's in Hong Kong are powered by Cummins M11 engines with ZF 5HP590 transmissions. The Neoplan Centroliner is an example of one of the fewer single manufacturer buses running in Hong Kong. Neoplan builds both the chasis and body for the Centroliner. All Centroliner's in Hong Kong are 12 metres in length.
