Golden Gate Transit Photos

Welcome to the Golden Gate Transit photo gallery. Golden Gate Transit bus service began in 1972 connecting Marin and Sonoma counties with San Francisco via the Golden Gate bridge, just like today. Today Golden Gate Tranisit provides both local and commuter service for the north bay. Golden Gate Transit currently operates about 260 buses consisting of mainly MCI D series commuter coaches, Orion V suburbans and TMC/NovaBus RTS'. There is a small handful of New Flyer D60' in the active fleet. Some of the past fleet has consisted of GM New Looks, GMC/TMC RTS' and Flexible Metro'. Golden Gate Transit currently operates about 50 routes using an extensive zone fare system.
