Durham Region Transit (DRT) was formed in 2006 as a result of a merger of the Ajax Pickering Transit Authority, Oshawa Transit Commission, Clarington Transit, Whitby Transit, and Handi-Transit. Durham Region Transit provides service to the Durham region including the municaplities of Ajax, Brooklin, Clarington, Claremont, Oshawa, Pickering, Port Perry, Uxbridge and Whitby with regional connections to GO Transit and TTC.
