2008 New Flyer D40LFR #8066-8095

Welcome to the 2008 New Flyer D40LFR gallery for Calgary Transit. In the fall of 2008, Calgary Transit took delivery of 30 New Flyer D40LFR buses. These are the first 40 foot variants of the New Flyer LFR design for Calgary Transit. The buses are nearly identical to the last order of 2007-2008 New Flyer D40LF buses, except the front and rear caps of the buses. They feature a Cummins ISL engine with an Allison B400R6 transmission. Luminator Horizon destination sign, 2 wheelchair positions, wheelchair ramp, kneeling, rear mounted Thermo King heater/air circulation, inner wall heating and motion sensor doors are all included on these buses.
