2003 New Flyer D40LF 7818-7858

In 2003, Calgary Transit took delivery of 41 New Flyer D40LF's, these buses were slightly diferent then previous orders. They still had the Cummins ISC engine and Allison B400R5 transmission. However these buses have the Luminator Horizon LED destination sign, Calgary Transit decided to switch after realizing the Balios sign was not functioning to their requirements. These buses still have a ThermoKing hearter/cooler unit, however the rear panel is not ribbed like the previous orders but it is a flatback. Also these buses have a slightly diffrent front panel in terms of curves by the headlights. These buses also have LED taillights. All 41 units are based out of Spring Gardens.
