2001 New Flyer D40LF 7701-7782

In 2001, Calgary Transit took delivery of 3 orders (30, 47 and 5) of New Flyer D40LF's. These buses featured the Cummins ISC engine and Allison B400R5 transmission. All 82 buses are active and based at Victoria Park Garage. These buses were the first Calgary Transit buses to feature LED destination sings, these are Balios LED signs, also these buses have LED taillights and turn signals. Also they have the ThermoKing heater/cooler. Units 7701-7713 also have bike racks for use on routes 6, and 7.
