2006-2008 SD-160 (C-Train)

In November 2006, Calgary Transit took delivery of car #2233, the first car in an order of 40 Siemens SD160 LRVs. Cars have been arriving as they are completed by Siemens since then and subsequently put into service. Many of the earlier cars were put into service all white with fleet numbers and a few Calgary Transit logos as these cars awaited a new livery to be applied. Later ones entered service with the new livery. Delivery of this order was completed by early 2008.Starting in late 2009, some of these units were retrofitted with air conditioning, this project was completed on all SD160 cars by early 2011. This retrofit is clearly visible on the roof of the SD160 cars.
