AC Transit Van Hool' Photos

Welcome to the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District, CA. (AC Transit) photo gallery for Van Hool buses. AC Transit took delivery of 131 Van Hool A330 (#1001-1131, 40 foot low floor) in 2003. However, the last 21 buses were not funded for and was sold to a private operator in Washtington, DC. Therefore, only #1001-1110 exist in service for AC Transit. AC Transit is one of the few operators of Van Hool transit buses in North America, with Van Hool sporting a purely European inspired design in exterior and interior appearances. In 2003-2004 Van Hool also took delivery of 57 Van Hool AG300' (#2001-2057, 60 foot articulated low floor). All of AC Transit's Van Hool buses are powered by Cummins ISM engines. Of interesting note is that the Van Hool AG300 artic is an artic puller and not a traditional North American artic pusher.
