AC Transit 1996/1997 New Flyer D60 Photos

Welcome to the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District, CA. (AC Transit) photo gallery for 1996 New Flyer D60'. AC Transit took delivery of 30 New Flyer D60's (#1901-1930) in early 1997, most being built in late 1996. These are the most recent New Flyer product that AC Transit has purchased and are the only New Flyer products still in active service with AC Transit. They are powered by Detroit Diesel Series 50 engines and equipped with a front door wheelchair lift.

Previous New Flyer products included New Flyer D40' (1988- #2500-2526, 1989 #2527-2578), New Flyer D35 (1988- #2400-2428) and New Flyer D60 (#1800-1829). All of which were powered by Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines.
